Grand #Amhara Protest in #London — March 8, 2026

Raise your voice against Genocide and Injustice

Amhara protest in London — March 2026Demonstrators with banners — LondonCrowd standing for justice — London

The Truth Behind the Protest

  • Abiy Ahmed Ali's forces savagely killed Aris Orthodox Christians (mercilessly slaughtered and killed).
  • The regime of Abiy Ahmed Ali's barbaric actions continue.
  • The Ethiopian regime is committing crimes against humanity, specifically targeting civilians in the Amhara Region. Thousands of Amharas have been arrested, killed, and subjected to heavy artillery and drone strikes after the regime secured loans from the IMF and World Bank.

This is not just a war on a people — it's a war on a generation, on hope, on the future. The world watches in silence, and that silence is complicity.

We Demand

  • Withdrawal of regime-allied forces from the Amhara region.
  • End to massacres and displacement of Amharas across the country.
  • Accountability for crimes and an end to all financial support of the regime.
  • Immediate and unconditional release of all Amhara political prisoners.
  • Accountability for the Amhara genocide.

The Truth Behind the Protest

  • Abiy Ahmed Ali's forces savagely killed Fanit Balem — mutilating her after a brutal killing. Her brave sacrifice inspires Amhara women fighters; Amharas must unite for truth and survival.
  • Fanit Tigist, an Amhara Fano fighter, was martyred on the Raya Front. Her body was mutilated by government forces — a grave violation of international law. The world must act to end such brutality.
  • The Ethiopian regime is committing crimes against humanity, specifically targeting civilians in the Amhara Region. Thousands of Amharas have been arrested, killed, and subjected to heavy artillery and drone strikes after the regime secured loans from the IMF and World Bank.

📚 According to the Amhara Association of America (AAA) report: over 3.5 million children in Amhara are denied education; 65% of schools have been shut down; 1,390 schools have been severely damaged; 830 schools have been repurposed into military bases.

  • End to ethnic-based demolitions and forced expulsions, especially in Addis Ababa.

Global Solidarity

Our strength lies in unity. We march together not only as Amharas but as global citizens who reject injustice. This protest is a call for solidarity among all communities to stand against oppression, discrimination, and human rights violations.

Building Hope Together

We envision a future where peace, equality, and dignity are upheld for all. By raising awareness today we aim to create a world where the Amhara people can live without fear, where their rights are respected, and where their voices are heard.
