On May 23, 2026, thousands of Amharas and friends of Amhara rocked the streets of London demanding an end to the genocidal war waged by Abiy Ahmed and rejecting the sham elections being staged in Ethiopia while civilians are massacred. The message was clear: no ballot while bullets fly.

We Demand

• Immediate halt to the sham elections held under war and occupation.
• Withdrawal of regime-allied forces from the Amhara region.
• Independent international investigation into the Amhara genocide.
• Unconditional release of all Amhara political prisoners.
• End to all financial support — IMF, World Bank and bilateral — to the Abiy regime.

About the Event

The long-awaited United Amhara Association UK has now established its foundation in Manchester, Bristol, Nottingham and London — enabling the Amhara community to engage in the multifaceted struggle required by the times. In collaboration with the Jegenoch Adera Association, the association has officially implemented our forefathers' call to 'unite,' merging into the United Amhara Association UK.
